The following are a compilation of comments from the Judges: - If you are using technology and interactive whiteboards in the presentation rooms, know how to hook up the equipment in advance.
- If you are using a laptop computer, have the computer turned on and on standby mode instead of booting it up for the first time during your set up time.
- Have the team members take turns answering questions and presenting. They shouldn’t all talk at the same time.
- It is very helpful if the coach is near or in the presentation room, this will help with any issues that the presentation team encounters.
- Please remind your parents, team members, and other coaches who are waiting outside the room to remain quiet and not knock on the door during the judging.
- Work on your team presentation skills. Remember to speak clearly and loud enough for the judges to hear.
- Give the judges a copy of your research notebook or project during set up. This will save some question time regarding the amount of research and the types of sources used.
- Make sure your presentation includes all required aspects in the FLL Presentation Judging Rubric. It should be more than an acted out report on the topic. The presentation should include a solution to the issue.
