2007 "Rack 'n Roll"

.

In 2007, OTTO was reborn and required to place inner tubes on a large circular rack to score points (think 3D tic-tac-toe). Here, OTTO is getting his between matches once-over by our Tiger Team.

In 2008 OTTO's task was to move a large ball around a racetrack, and over various obstacles. Here, OTTO waits to compete with Cassie Spragg holding our standard and Sam Thomas as our robed mascot.

2009 "Lunacy"

[Need a photo of Otto from 2009!]

In 2009, FIRST caught every one off guard with a slippery surface intended to simulate the regolith on the moon.  Otto dragged a trailer around the field and attempted to pick-up moon rocks and other game elements and score them by placing them in the other robots trailers.  More about the "Lunacy" challenge is here.

2010 "Breakaway"

[Need a photo of Otto from 2010!]

In 2010, Otto was redesigned yet again to play soccer on a field with two huge speed bumps.

2011  ???

The game will be announced in early January.

[Photo of your robot will go here - you know - the one you helped to build!]

What heroic feats will Otto have perform this year?  Who knows!  Will you be on the team to help? Forsyth will be fielding two teams this year, one based at West Forsyth High and one at North Forsyth, but - as always - students from all over the county are welcome to participate.  Contact the nearest school/team to get involved.
